Blood For the Blood God!

hello all, just a small post today, to show you some work i have done on my army that i am planning on taking to the Throne of Skulls competition, however the pictures are from my Iphone and therefore not brilliant, however i present to you Cruoris the chosen of Khorne:


for this model i have used parts from the Khorne Berserker kit (the legs, as you may have guessed), a khorne torso and shoulder pads from forge-world, the metal backpack and cloak from the standard GW Khorne Lord (a model that i am still unsure about, but it is a sweet backpack) arms from the standard Chaos Space Marine set, a few khorne brass etched symbols and the bare head from the fantasy chaos warriors sprue:


as you have probably guessed i tried to photoshop the first image, but yeah i quickly gave up on that, this is my 'standard' khorne lord, with twin lightening claws that i mentioned in the first post, i chose the name Cruoris because it roughly translates as murder or slaughter in latin, which i felt was suitably appropriate

anyway what do you think, my only concern is the twin chain axes, as i really hope they dont count that as representing because its a coversion, seen as they are 'count-as' lightening claws

for my Berserkers, i have mixed chaos Marines, (using some legs, the close-combat arms, and backpacks) with the Berserker box and the World Eaters Kit from forge-world, this is because i hate how out-dated the Berserkers are now, in particular the bolt pistols and the oven gloves that they seem to be wearing, although i might leave the for the plasma pistols as it might seem a nice touch...

Here we go again.... A Spanner in the Works

since Insane Creations seems to be being hacked by a bunch of chinese crazy people i am going to start a new blog... welcome to The Traitors Hand, a blog which shall focus on my ever expanding Chaos army, so without further ado i bring to you the last post from Insane Creations

Hi all, long time no see...

apologies for not updating since... March? much failure on my part i believe, and apologies again for this post shall not include any pictures, however i am here to discuss with you my plans for the 40,000 Grand Tournament in Nottingham that my friends and i shall hopefully be attending this year.

Now i would love to take a Night Lords Army to the Tournament, but seen as codex creep has made standard CSM armies pretty much uncompetitive, i have had to scrap that idea, i would also love to take a Raptor or Biker full Night Lords army using either the Blood Angel or Space Marine Codex, however i think that the Raptors are an Eye-sore and cant have Night Lord Iconography and the Biker Army will just be too dear in such a short space of time, without further ado, i present to you my 1500 pt Chaos Space Marine Army which i plan to destroy Throne of Skulls with...

Plague Marine Squad (7) with 2 Plasma Guns

3x Khorne Berzerker Squads (8) with Skull Champions with Power Swords and Rhinos

2X Obliterator Squads (2)

a pretty simple list to use i feel, the Plague Marines and Obliterators (who shall be Nurglized) form and fire base and destroy heavy armour and things the Berzerker Horde would struggle to neutralise. The Plague Marines also capture an objective in/close too my deployment zone and then sit there and shrug off anything thrown at them (hopefully) while the Berzerker horde takes the fight to the enemy!

what do you guys reckon? any suggestions? hopefully will be posting in a week/maybe two but i
plan to be able to use these units in pure Nurgle and Khorne forces eventually

Kharn the Betrayer is exactly the same points as a Chaos Sorceror with Gift of Chaos, Wind of Chaos and a familiar, so i'm not sure, i may swap him out, what do you guys reckon
